Aerial Imagery Request

The department manages raw aerial imagery acquired from state government acquisition programs and other projects.

View a map showing the dates and extents of the available imagery. A DPTI Geohub account is required to access, contact DIT.Visualisation@sa.gov.au if you require an account to be created for you.

The aerial imagery is utilised across all sectors of DIT for analysis from regional down to specific sites. This provides features, historical perspectives, and a scaled reference base for planning and concept design. Aerial imagery is utilised where ground engineering survey is not cost-effective (e.g. in the early phases of project delivery).

Department clients (internal) can reference the image files via a directory, or request a subset image clip product for a specific area of interest to reduce file size.

Contractors (external) generally request an image or corridor clip as part of the project's contract data deliverables.

For specifications and details about the data available see the Aerial Imagery Confluence page. You can request access to Confluence through the Service Centre.
